T1D Toolkit
T1D Toolkit was designed to support and uplift the diabetes education provided in clinic, and to make diabetes education resources more available for everyone. Our site includes educational material and a series of brief instructional videos covering a variety of subjects

Our mission
At Diabetes Toolkit, we believe that knowledge is a cornerstone of diabetes self-care. Our team seeks to provide knowledge directly to people with diabetes, and to serve as a repository of educational resources for understaffed diabetes and primary care clinics. Diabetes Toolkit provides diabetes knowledge at no cost to people with diabetes online via T1D Toolkit and NODE.

How it works
T1D Toolkit currently has three main categories of focus: T1D101, Age Related Topics, and Technology. Within these themes, we discuss everything from basic diabetes terminology, to navigating diabetes at school, and even how to optimize diabetes technology so that people with T1D and their caregivers feel empowered to manage diabetes
Information you can trust
Our content is routinely reviewed by endocrinologists, dietitians, nurses, psychologists, and diabetes care and education specialists.

NODE
The Newly Onset Diabetes Education tool, or NODE, was designed specifically with kids in mind. NODE follows the story of Kara and the (Not So) Dire Beastie through eight online chapters.
NODE talks about basic diabetes knowledge, blood glucose monitoring, insulin, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, nutrition, exercise, and personal management. The site includes a combination of engaging content including videos, games, and interactive content for kids.
